ATTORNEY FELLOWSHIP SPONSORSHIP
The Human Trafficking Legal Center seeks to sponsor third-year law students, judicial law clerks, and recent law graduates for public interest law fellowships, such as the Skadden, Equal Justice Works Fellowships, and other fellowships starting in the 2022 term.
Applicants must be rising third-year law students or recent law school graduates eligible for the fellowship programs for which they seek sponsorship from the Human Trafficking Legal Center. Please consult the fellowship program websites for information on eligibility.
Applicants should have strong interest and commitment to human rights and public interest law; excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; excellent communication skills; and ability to handle several tasks at once while working independently or as a member of a team. A second language is a plus.
Candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, an unedited or lightly edited legal writing sample, recent law school transcript (unofficial accepted), and three references, including daytime telephone numbers, to [email protected]. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority given to applications received by July 9, 2021.
The cover letter should include a brief description of the applicant’s interest in being considered for sponsorship by the Human Trafficking Legal Center, and any prior experience that they may have had in the area of human trafficking. Please include a brief discussion of potential projects, and why the Human Trafficking Legal Center would be an appropriate host organization. We will work with applicants to develop proposals.
Only selected applicants will be contacted for phone or in-person interviews. NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE.
*PLEASE NOTE: For individuals applying for the Skadden Fellowship, there is a deadline of September 10, 2021, for applications.
